Stanford Mutasa is the Founder and Managing Partner of Autarky Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a position he has held since the firm's establishment in 2015. He is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and operational management of the firm, as well as overseeing client service delivery across accounting, taxation, compliance, advisory, and corporate finance engagements. Stanford holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting for Chartered Accountants from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (now Nelson Mandela University). He further holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and is a Graduate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), reflecting his strong foundation in both financial management and corporate governance. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Business Accountants and holds the professional designation Chartered Business Accountant in Practice (South Africa) [CBAP(SA)]. In addition, he is a registered General Tax Practitioner with the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT) and holds the designation GTP(SA). Over the course of his career, Stanford has advised businesses across a wide range of industries on matters relating to accounting, taxation, payroll administration, company secretarial services, compliance management, business structuring, financial management, and strategic growth. His approach combines technical expertise with practical business insight, enabling clients to navigate complex regulatory environments while pursuing sustainable growth opportunities. In 2024, following the merger of Autarky Holdings and Marais [&] Co to form Marais Mutasa Advisory (Pty) Ltd, Stanford assumed the role of Managing Partner of the merged practice. During this period, he played a key role in expanding the firm's service offering to include taxation, assurance, consulting, and corporate finance advisory services. Following the demerger in 2026, he continued to lead Autarky Holdings as an independent firm while retaining the broader capabilities and expertise developed during the merger. Today, Stanford remains committed to building Autarky Holdings into a leading professional services firm and trusted business partner for organisations throughout South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the broader Southern African region.
